"The Praisemen" were organized and began singing Southern
Gospel music in 1991. Johnny Douglas sings the first tenor part for the
group. He has a very long background in gospel music. He began playing the
bass guitar at the age of 13 and then moved to the piano and played for
several local groups around Charleston, WV until "The Praisemen" were
organized. Johnny is associated with Bartlett-Burdette-Cox funeral home in
Charleston, WV, where he spends about all of his time when he is not on the
road singing. He is married to Shelley Douglas, and they have two children,
Eric and Lauren. Greg Douglas sings the lead
and plays the piano for the group. He began playing at the age of 14.
Shortly thereafter he began singing and playing for the "Kings Journeymen"
of Charleston, WV until "The Praisemen" were organized. Greg is also the
manager and licensed embalmer/funeral director at Stevens & Grass funeral
home in Malden, WV. He is married to Teri Landers Douglas, and is the father
of daughter Lois Eden, and a recently born son, Gregory Todd. Greg is also
the manager of the group and handles all of the booking arrangements. He can

Bradley Quarry sings the baritone part and plays bass
for the group. He is no stranger to gospel music in the Charleston, WV area.
On Sunday morning he co-hosts the "Sunday Morning Gospel Jubilee" on radio
station WQBE - 97.5 FM. For many years Brad served as Minister of Music in
his local church and conducted solo concerts in and around Charleston. Brad
joined "The Praisemen" in 1998. Brad is also employed at American Electric
Power Company. He is married to Mary Beth Hill Quarry, and has a son,
Jordan, and a daughter, Kassie. Bradley also functions as the spokesman for
the group.
Jay Humphrey joined the group to sing the bass part in
February of 2002, after singing lead with his father and family group, "The
Humphrey Family" for 27 years. He has been a real addition to this group and
is a keeper. Jay and his wife own and operate "Quality Image Printing" in
Dunbar, WV. They are also the proud parents of three daughters.
This group has been blessed and used of the Lord in
many concerts and church services. You will do yourself proud to have them
