A personal belief that soul winning is the most important job of every Christian. These are the underlying themes that drive THE STEELES in their ministry. THE STEELES are a relatively new name to gopsel music but have certainly accomplished a lot in their short time here. Four number one songs, and a list of top five songs have made them a mainstay on gospel radio for the last decade. With songs like : We Want America Back and For The Sake of The Children THE STEELES have won the respect of thousands inside and out of the gospel music industry. With constant chart topping songs like these, and On The Road To Emmaus ( a 2001 DOVE AWARD nominee for Southern Gospel Song of the year ), God Kept His promise, I Must Tell Somebody, I Got Up And Went and Oh What A Mighty God . Jeff Steele has established himself as one of the leading songwriters of our time. He has written hit songs for other artists such as Brian Free, Tony Gore and Majesty,LordSong , The Cumberland Quartet, Ann Downing , The Melody Trio,Greater Vision , The Anchormen, The Inspirations and many others. THE STEELES have taken their message to an ever increasing and varied audience through the last decade and into the new millennium. They have sung at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis , IN , The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville ,TN the state capitol steps of Alabama in Montgomery at the Save The Ten Commandments Rally ( which was broadcast on CNN ) The Old Time Gospel Hour with Jerry Falwell, Dennis Swanberg Show, the Christian Booksellers Association and The National Quartet Convention are just a few of the places THE STEELES have carried their message of hope in the past several years.

Let's meet the group THE STEELES. THE foundation of the group is the husband and wife team of Jeff and Sherry Steele . Sherry's tender vocals and Jeff's strong baritone voice along with Jeff' s anointed song writing serve as the nucleus of this group. THE STEELES are joined on stage by former Wilburns member, Troy Peach and former Perry Sisters and Ruppes member Karen Akemon. Both come from a rich gospel music heritasge and are strong Christians in addition to being great vocalists. THE STEELES are also joined by Jeff and Sherry's children , Christy who is sixteen , Kayla twelve and Bradley who is seven. THE STEELES kids have really become fan favorites as they have been added to the program. Some of the most touching moments of any concert or service revolve around the portion of the program that features the young-uns.

THE STEELES have just released their sixth project entitled, Left Behind. Many have said it is their best release yet and it's sales are on record pace. The title track from the album talks about the end time events that many believe we are living in and through right now. It has a very thought provoking message that has moved many to faith in Christ. Each member of the group is featured on this new release and it is a real musical and message variety pack . There is literally something for everybody. Pastors are saying that the young people and the seniors are blessed equally by THE STEELES!

THE STEELES have added lights and a multi-media presentation to their program for 2001. Jeff Steele says ,"we are battling a world with almost unlimited resources to present their message. We have to compete with the message of the gospel on the same playing field. We will never compromise the message but sometimes our methods must change some so that we can reach people with the gospel." Exciting, custom video clips shown on a 9x12 foot screen as well as the special stage lights help bring a real excitement to the message that THE STEELES have come to share with their audiences.

Jeff Steele has also written a book , just published on his recent one hundred lb. weight loss. This incredible story has added one more exciting dimension to THE STEELES story!
