After spending more than six years on the road traveling in "The
Celebration Trio", we accepted an assignment as Minister of
Music at Davis Creek Church of the Nazarene in Charleston, WV
for twenty-four years. I began promoting Southern Gospel
Concerts in 1997. We have enjoyed a good measure of success
while working with many of the top named Gospel artists in the
industry. In April of 1999, I resigned as Minister of Music and
began preparations for retirement from my business.
I wanted to promote
Gospel concerts year round. I made myself two promises when I
began in 1997: A- I would never put any group or individual
on stage to present the Gospel in song that did not experience
and live what they were singing about. B- I would never close a
concert without giving an opportunity to pray for anyone who
expressed a need. I have kept that promise I made to myself
and God; He has honored each and every concert with His presence
and Holy Spirit.
We have experienced
the joy of working with many of Gospel's greatest artists:
Squire Parsons & Trio, The Greenes, The Praisemen, The Hoppers,
The Beane Family, Gold City, Tony Gore, Michael Combs, The
Kingdom Heirs, Greater Vision, Dennis Sparks, The Perrys
Sisters, Poet Voices, Kirk Talley, The John Hagee Family, and
Dr. John Hagee, just to name a few.
Our goal is to
use Gospel concerts to help introduce a loving Saviour to all of
those in attendance. By doing this, I feel that God will
honor our two promises to him, and souls will be saved because
of the convicting power of the Holy Spirit.
When you attend one
of our concerts, I would love for you to come by and introduce
yourself, and tell us what you think of our programs. We will
welcome your input. I look forward to meeting you at one of our
concerts. Bring your family and friends and join in as we lift
up Jesus Christ, the risen Saviour!
We are now retired
and living full-time in South Carolina. We have already
established a concert schedule in South Carolina and have kept
our concert schedule in West Virginia. We will be presenting
three concerts each year in both locations, as long as the Lord
provides. Keep us in your prayers.
In HIS service,
Paul W. Shannon
